Skipper Kane Williamson, head coach Gary Stead to miss ODI series against India

India will play against Sri Lanka in January 2023, where the Sri Lankans will host the series. Followed by the Sri Lanka series, next ODI series will be played against the dominating Kiwis as team New Zealand will tour India in January 2023.
In order to manage the workload of the players and support staff, New Zealand Cricket has confirmed that regular skipper Kane Williamson and Head Coach Gary Stead will not be touring India in the early part of next year. NZC revealed that Tom Latham will take over as captain of the ODI team in India in place of Williamson while announcing the squads for the upcoming tours to Pakistan and India.
Kane Williamson who recently stepped down as Test captain, will be leading his side for the ODI series against Pakistan but will not be travelling to India in the early months of 2023.

It is understood that head coach Gary Stead and the team management will aim to manage the workload of the players and support staff.
