Dream 11 becomes the lead sponsor of Team India, replacing Byju’s

The Board of Control of Cricket made an announcement on the 1st of July that Dream 11 has become the new lead sponsor of the Indian cricket team. This news comes ahead of India’s first test series against West Indies. The sponsorship has been signed for three years.

The Indian team will be wearing jerseys with the Dream 11 logo over them from the test series match against West Indies, which is India’s first task starting in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-2025. The match will be played this month beginning on the 12th of July.

Financial details regarding the contract haven’t been known yet. Although, Dream 11 seems to have replaced Byju’s, as the latter company has gotten over with the board in March.

The fantasy gaming company has replaced the education technology firm and has become the official sponsor of the team. Since this announcement, BCCI President Roger Binny congratulated the company for adhering to the sponsorship rights.

He stated further, “From being BCCI’s official sponsor to now being the lead sponsor, the BCCI-Dream11 partnership has grown from strength to strength. It is a direct testament to the trust, value, potential, and growth that Indian Cricket offers.

As we prepare to host the ICC World Cup later this year, enhancing fan experience is among our top priorities and I am confident that this partnership will help us elevate the fan engagement experience.”
