FIFA World Cup 2022: Kylian Mbappé receives Golden Boot for scoring 8 goals in the tournament

France attacking player Kylian Mbappé received the Golden Boot for his incredible performance in the FIFA World Cup 2022.

On Sunday, December 18, Argentina’s national football team defeated defending champion France to win their third FIFA World Cup. This World Cup final ranks among the best ones ever. For Lionel Messi, this was a special moment because it was his first World Cup trophy.

After the scores were tied 3-3 in extra time, Argentina defeated France 4-2 on penalties, giving Lionel Messi his first FIFA World Cup victory and a stunning victory to his international football career. Messi scored two goals and Kylian Mbappé three for France. Argentina only had one additional scorer, Angel di Maria.

At the FIFA World Cup 2022, French forward Kylian Mbappé won the Adidas Golden Boot. The forward was the top scorer with 8 goals in the competition. The top goal scorer of the FIFA World Cup 2022 receives the Golden Boot award. Mbappe wasn’t content to receive this honour because he preferred the main trophy they were competing for.
