Based on the fantasy action drama written by Katarina, the light novel series was initially released in 2017 on the web. The book was then later adapted into a manga version and was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from the 15th of July 2020 and has 13 volumes published so far.

However, the announcement regarding the anime adaption was made in February 2020, prior to the release of the manga series. The show will be directed by Toshiyuki Kubooka and Hiroki Ikeshita is assigned for assistant direction. The script is written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and the music department will be helmed by Monaco. The series will be animated by C2C Studious.

The anime is also getting a video game adaption, which will be created by Netmarble Nexus. Assuming the company focuses on video games the latest game will also be a mobile one. Not much news has been revealed about the game, but around that time the developer agency might unveil some intriguing details.

Crunchyroll has licensed the anime outside of Japan and the portal describes the plot of the anime as,
