The makers of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime have revealed a promotional video. This update comes ahead of the show’s release. The opening theme song is “Yuusha,” which will be performed by YOASOBI. While the ending song is titled as “Anytime Anywhere” and will be sung by Milet. The show is slated to release on the 29th of September 2023.

The upcoming show will be directed by Keiichiro Saito at MadHouse Studious. The series composition will be done by Tomohiro Suzuki. Character design will be handled by Reiko Nagasawa and Evan Call is the music composer. Tooru Iwazawa is assigned as the action director.

The cast members include Atsumi Tanezaki as Frieren, Hiroki Touchi as Heiter, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Himmel, Kana Ichinose as Fern, Youji Udea as Eisen and Chiaka Kobayashi as Stark.

Viz Media has licensed the manga and describes its plot as

Elf mage Frieren and her courageous fellow adventurers have defeated the Demon King and brought peace to the land. With the great struggle over, they all go their separate ways to live a quiet life. But as an elf, Frieren, nearly immortal, will long outlive the rest of her former party. How will she come to terms with the mortality of her friends? How can she find fulfilment in her own life, and can she learn to understand what life means to the humans around her? Frieren begins a new journey to find the answer.

Based on an adventure-fantasy theme, the anime is adapted from the manga series of the same name. It was published by Shogakukan on the 28th of April 2020. The manga was serialized in their Weekly Shonen Sunday and has 10 volumes so far. It is written by Kanehito Yamada
