The current Reels feature gives a time snap of about 90 seconds, as a part of their short-video alignment. The need for bringing the long-format video was introduced earlier in 2022 on TikTok. Even YouTube launched it on its platform increasing the efficiency of its apps.
With this development, creators or artists on Instagram can even post videos in a long format. They can do it for multiple categories such as makeup tutorials, GRWM videos, cooking recipes and more. It can also be beneficial in posting educational videos or sharing some insightful content. The feature can be expected to roll out in the near future.
Recently, Adam Mosseri, CEO of Instagram made an announcement regarding a new feature. The latest advancement will help in sharing comments on their Stories, posts and Reels. For instance, if an individual likes a particular comment, then he/she can swipe on it and click on “Add to Story.” The comment will then show up near the post on your story.
However, the feature hasn’t been introduced for all users. It is still emerging and will be updated anytime soon.
