WhatsApp has been upgrading the app and is on the verge of making it more user-friendly. In recent months, it has introduced a slew of features that are oriented towards security and accessibility for users. Reportedly, the platform has introduced a new feature that will allow users to protect their IP address on call.

As per WABetaInfo, the feature is incorporated in the new version 2.23.18.15 of WhatsApp beta for Android users. The latest update will be rolled out in the coming weeks for all users.

With the new enhancement, it will be difficult for the people on the other side of the call to figure out your location. This will be done as WhatsApp will be forwarding the call through its server in a much more protected manner.

The new development will ensure that the calls now undergo few changes. These steps would be necessary as the platform will have to make sure that the user’s location is not revealed easily. It is essential because many times, people tend to track you based on your location. The new advancement would prevent the leakage of any sort of information.

Moreover, WhatsApp has also introduced a new feature that will allow users to send videos and images in HD quality. Individuals will now be able to share videos in 720p HD quality. It has been introduced for Android, iOS and WhatsApp Web users.
