On Sunday, December 18th, the Indian cricket team defeated Bangladesh in the first Test match at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. The Test match concluded on the fifth and final day. On the final day, the Indian bowlers finished the match in just 50 minutes.
Rohit Sharma did not play in the Test series opener against Bangladesh in Chattogram, which India won by an emphatic 188-run margin to take an unassailable 1-0 lead in the two-match series. Rohit had injured his thumb and was ruled out of the match, with KL Rahul taking his place.
According to sources close to ANI, Rohit has gone for rehabilitation and will be ready for the second Test match in Bangladesh. Due to a thumb injury sustained in the second ODI, Rohit missed the third and final ODI, as well as the first Test, against Bangladesh.

Since the middle order was dependent on Shreyas Iyer’s performance, Rishabh Pant might sit out for the skipper to come back in the game. With Rishabh Pant being benched for Rohit Sharma’s comeback, which won’t affect the bowling unit, KL Rahul has a great chance to be behind the wickets.
