Meta-owned WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that will allow users to switch accounts on the same app just like Facebook and Instagram. The new WhatsApp version 2.23.17.8 has launched the feature, enabling users to make shifts between different accounts as per their preferences.

According to WABetaInfo, the new enhancement is currently available for a limited number of users who have downloaded the latest WhatsApp version. Users can add an account by clicking on the arrow icon next to the bar code. They can also switch between the accounts and the notifications and messages will be different as per respective accounts. Also, the messages will be showcased as long as the individual stays logged in on the particular account.

The feature makes it convenient for users who have more than one phone number and even those who want to keep their personal and private chats separate. This enhancement will reduce the stress of opening different accounts on different devices. As users will be easily able to access all their accounts through the same app by just switching to the required one.
The multi-account feature is currently available for a few users, but it will be viable for everyone in the coming weeks. As of now, it hasn’t been known if the feature will be available for iOS users. For those who want to experience the new feature, they can go to Google Play Beta and download the latest version of WhatsApp for Andriod.
