The United Nations Security Council is going to conduct a meeting this week in New York about the discussions involving AI risks. British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly will head the discussions due to the rotating presidency role and as Britain has been wanting to regulate the effects of AI. Britain will also call for an international dialogue on the impact of technology on global peace and security.
As artificial technology has emerged widely among the masses in recent times, Governments from all over the world are concerned about the rising side effects of this innovation. The latest technology can come up with various such dangers that could have an effect on the global economy and change the entire livelihood routines for the masses.
This is the first formal meeting held to mitigate the risks that could emerge with the technology. It will also be devastating and it is time not to overlook these issues that might reshape human civilization to a larger extent.
In June this year, U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also supported the cause for the development of an international body that would act like a security guard like the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The proposal was being bought up by some artificial intelligence officials.
