The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses anime initially premiered on the 4th of July. Since its opening, the show has gained a lot of popularity due to its wholesome content and kawaii characters. The third episode of the anime is going to release on Tuesday, 18th July, and explore the adorable bond between the main leads.
The episode will release at 11:00 pm in Japan, while for other time zones, it will release at 8:00 am PT, 10:00 am CT, 11:00 am ET, 5:00 pm CET, and 8:30 pm IST. The anime revolves around Ai Mie and Kaede Komura, who are both classmates and even deskmates. Kaede is attracted to Ai for her cute looks and wishes she would look at him with her beautiful eyes. As they become accustomed to each other, Kaede notices that Ai eventually forgot to wear her glasses and has problems seeing due to low vision.
One such day, she forgot to wear her glasses and has problems going through all the daily school activities. However, Kaede wishes to help her and she starts depending on him. As time progresses, Kaede’s feelings start growing deeper and simultaneously Ai also becomes acquainted with his presence.
Based on a rom-com theme, the anime is adapted from Koume Fujichika’s manga series of the same name. It was published on the 22nd of November 2018 and was serialized in Monthly Gangan Joker. The manga has 10 volumes in total.
The announcement regarding the making of the anime was made in January 2023. The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses is directed by Susumu Kudo and Katsumasa Yokomine at GoHands Studious. The character design is handled by Takayuki Uchida while the script is written by Tamazo Yanagi.
As the show furthers, the audience will get to witness a smoking love story between the lead characters and some light-hearted comedy.
