The official announcement regarding the television adaption of Tearmoon Empire anime was made in September 2022. Since then fans have been eagerly waiting for the series and some details regarding its release. On Wednesday, the makers of the anime shared a new key visual and unveiled the release date for the same. The anime is going to premiere on the 7th of October in Japan.
Tearmoon Empire is a novel series written by Nozomu Mochitsuki and published by Shosetsuka ni Naro on the 13th of August 2018. It was later published by TO Books on the 10th of June 2019 as a part of the light novel series. It has 13 volumes as of now.

The series was also renewed for a manga version, which was also published by TO Books on the 12th of August 2019. It was serialized in Comic Corona magazine and has six volumes so far.
Tearmoon Empire will be directed by Yuushi Ibe at Silver Link Studious. The series composition will be done by Deko Akao while the music department will be helmed by Koji Fujimoto. Character design will be managed by Mai Ootsuka.
The main cast includes Sumire Uesaka as Mia Luna Tearmoon, Tomori Kusunoki as Anne Littstein, and Yuuichiro Umehara as Ludwig Hewitt.
While the newly revealed cast member includes Kanon Takao as Tiona Rudolvan and Nao Touyama as Rafina Orca Belluga.
Crunchyroll has licensed the series for streaming worldwide and describes it’s plot as-
“I have… a head?! And… I’m young?!”
Twenty-year-old Princess Mia of the Tearmoon Empire, often scorned as the “selfish princess,” was executed by guillotine in a rebellion. Next thing she knew, she awoke in her own twelve-year-old body, with her own blood-stained diary that she kept before she was beheaded sitting next to her pillow. Given a second chance at life, Mia decides to rebuild the empire.
For the sake of Tearmoon’s future? To save the people from starvation? For all the soldiers who lost their lives in the civil war? No! Everything she does in this life is for the sake of avoiding the guillotine! “F-For me, this should be a piece of cake!” Thus the useless, cowardly, self-serving princess brings about miracle after miracle in her great struggle to save herself in this altered-history fantasy.
