Kaiju No. 8 anime’s new trailer released- Here’s everything you need to know
A new trailer for Kaiju No. 8 anime has been unveiled, spiking up the audience’s curiosity. The second promotional video was released on the 5th of August on the official YouTube channel of TOHO Animations. The trailer gives some awesome insights, revealing the Kaiju world, feared by the disastrous monsters, and how measures are being taken to fight them.
The anime is scheduled to release in April 2024. It seems apparent from the teaser trailer that the show is filled with action-packed scenes. The series holds true to the animation being illustrated in the manga.
The cast members include Masaya Fukinishi as Kafka Hibino/Kaiju No. 8, Asami Seto as Mina Ashiro, and Wataru Katoh as Reno Ichikawa. The upcoming anime will be produced by Production I.G. while Studio Khara will be creating the monster design.
Kaiju No. 8 is a Japanese manga series written by Naoya Matsumoto and was serialized in Shonen Jump+ magazine. It was published on the 3rd of July 2020 and has 10 volumes in total.
Viz Media has licensed the series for release in North America in the English language and describes the plot as,
“Kafka hopes to one day keep his pact with his childhood friend Mina to join the Japan Defense Force and fight by her side. But while she’s out neutralizing kaiju as Third Division captain, Kafka is stuck cleaning up the aftermath of her battles. When a sudden rule change makes Kafka eligible for the Defense Force, he decides to try out for the squad once more. There’s just one problem—he’s made the Defense Force’s neutralization list under the code name Kaiju No. 8.”
