IPL Auctions 2023: Details for Mumbai Indians’ purse balance, retained players and released players

Indian Premier League (IPL) released the list for the upcoming auction, which will take place in Kochi on December 23. A total of 405 cricket players will be auctioned off. The 10 franchises initially selected 369 players from the list of 991 players who had signed up for the IPL’s 2023 season. A total of 405 players will be offered at the IPL 2023 Auction after the franchises later requested the addition of 36 players, who were included in the final list.

Out of those 405 players in the list, 273 are Indians, 132 are overseas players while four are from associate nations. Meanwhile, 119 of those 405 players are capped international players while 282 are uncapped.

Prior to the December mini IPL auction, the Mumbai Indians (MI) have also made the list of released and retained players public. The team has released 13 players from their roster while keeping 15 players from the squad from the previous season. They have also added Jason Behrendorff to their list and exchanged one player with Royal Challengers Bangalore. So, there are now 16 players on their team. There are currently 9 open slots, 3 of which are designated for international players.
