IPL Auctions 2023: Chris Lynn fails to come under hammer; goes unsold
Chris Lynn didn’t appear under the hammer as the franchises weren’t interested in the player as all the teams have a choice to nominate their interested players so that the auction works in a speedy manner, excluding the player who is not under any list of the favourites selected by the respective IPL teams
From 2017 to 2019, Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine formed one of the most lethal opening combinations in IPL history. Chris Lynn was a KKR player at the time. However, his stock has plummeted since leaving KKR.
He was signed by the Mumbai Indians for INR 2 crores, but he only played one game in IPL 2020 because Quinton de Kock was injured, and he was benched for the entire IPL 2021 season before being released. Chris Lynn remained unsold when he set his base price of INR 1.5 crores for the IPL 2022 mega-auction.
