Instagram testing on a new feature that enables to add lyrics to Reels- Read

Instagram is currently working on making many amendments to the app. Along with increasing the visibility of the newly launched Threads app, the Meta-owned platform is also bringing new features to Instagram. Earlier, it was been known that users will be able to tag multiple people on stories just with the help of creating a group mention. By adding potential members into a singular mention, users can use it anytime for stories and posts.

Now, the platform is testing a new feature that will allow users to add lyrics to reels, just like on stories. The news came to light when Adam Mosseri stated in the recently posted blog saying, “Another music-related feature we’re: we previously mentioned we’re testing the ability to add lyrics to the Reels- just like you can in Stories. We’re now bringing that test to more countries, and are excited to see how people get creative with music on Reels. If you start seeing this feature, let us know what you think.”

The feature will display lyrics from the song being added to the Reel. Similar to the interface on Stories, users will be able to make changes and edit the size and text as per their liking. This development is in the testing stage for now and it is not been known if the feature will be reaching out to more countries. But with the appropriate feedback, the company might consider it rolling out in the near future.

Reels feature was introduced in 2020 on Instagram and since then it has become widely popular. The company has been upgrading the feature and making amendments to it. Earlier, it was announced by the platform that users will now be able to download Reels on their devices. Its growth has taken a massive surge, with users getting accustomed to it. Seeing the trajectory of reels, it was also being introduced on Facebook and the short video feature is still ruling over the social media.
