Indian cricket team starts its practice for first test against South Africa

The practice for the three-Test series against South Africa begins for India.
The series begin on December 26. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a post on Twitter sharing the glimpse of practice with Virat Kohli, senior batter Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravichandran Ashwin, and KL Rahul, among others in it.
“#TeamIndia begin preparations for the first Test in Centurion. First practice session done. #SAvsIND,” wrote the BCCI with a couple of pictures.

The BCCI has named Rahul as the vice-captain of the team after Rohit had an injury.
“The All-India Senior selection committee has named KL Rahul as vice-captain for the upcoming 3-match Test series against South Africa. KL Rahul replaces Rohit Sharma as vice-captain, who was ruled out of the Test series owing to a hamstring injury,” said a release from BCCI.
This is a three-match test series that will be held from December 26 to 30 in Centurion. Then, the second match will be from January 3 to 7 in Johannesburg. The third and final Test will be in Cape Town from January 11 to 15.
