Girlfriend, Girlfriend season 2 finally gets a trailer video and a key visual after a long wait. The initial announcement about the making of the second installment was made last year in September. Since that time, fans have been anticipating crucial details regarding the show and now the time has come.
The new key visual features the main leads, all donned in a swimsuit. The trailer also reveals information about the staff members. The cast includes Junya Enoki as Naoya Mukai, Azumi Waki as Nagisa Minase, Ayane Sakura as Saki Saki Ayana Taketatsu as Rika Hoshizaki, and Rie Takahashi as Shino Kiryuu.

Girlfriend, Girlfriend anime is adapted from Hiroyuki’s manga series of the same name and was initially serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine. It was published on the 4th of March 2020 and has 16 volumes in total as of the 24th of May 2023.
The first season of the romantic comedy-drama was released on the 3rd of July 2021. While the series was directed by Satoshi Kuwabara at Tezuka Productions Studious and had 12 episodes. The latest season will be directed by Takatoshi Suzuki at Synergy SP Studious and it is scheduled to premier in October 2023. Just like the first season, it is assumed that the upcoming season will also be aired on Crunchyroll simultaneously for the international audience.
