Dell signs a deal with Intel to launch AI-based labs in India- Read


Dell Technologies on Monday signed a deal with Intel in order to launch Artificial Intelligence skilled labs in India. The deal comes after the integrated motive of making the students industry ready therefore Intel’s Digital Readiness team partnered with Dell, who then announced it publically.

The AI-based labs will be set up at the Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology in Telangana as a part of Intel’s ‘AI for Youth’ program. This scheme aims at integrating AI into the existing curriculum of the students and removes the hurdles refraining them from attaining higher level digital skills. Also to make them aware and company ready for the future.

This program also enables training for teachers will skilled capabilities provided by Intel. It also includes coaching students with the help of boot camps, AI Thons and virtual showcases, etc. The AI-developed labs will enable students to prepare projects through computer vision, OpenVINO, natural language processing, and other AI-based technologies.


This enhancement will probably make an environment for the students to implement solutions and have a wider spectrum beyond classrooms. The labs will also be comprised of Dell Optiplex computers and Intel’s Neural Compute Stick 2.

The Vice-Chairman at the Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology, Syed Touseef Ahmed, emphasized providing better working space for students. He stated, “At Lords, we believe that one of the greatest enablers for quality learning is top-notch infrastructure at our students’ disposal. Our work in collaboration with Dell and Intel will help our students be at the forefront of AI technology and allow them to participate in various student development programs. This is the fourth center of excellence established on campus for students’ benefit.”
