The official announcement regarding the television adaption of the manga series was made during ‘Dengeki Bunko Winter Festival 2021’. Since then fans have been anticipating the isekai show that has been hyped up a lot. The anime is scheduled for October 2023 release. The makers revealed a new key visual today starring the main lead and a preview video.
Based on a light novel series by Takuma Sakai, the book was published on the 10th of March 2020 and has seven volumes in total. It was later transformed into a manga version and published on the 27th of August 2020. The manga has four volumes in total. It was serialized in Dengeki Maoh magazine.

Heat the Pig Liver anime will be directed by Masayuki Takahashi at Project No.9 Studious. While the script is written by Deko Akao. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will be voicing the pig while Tomori Kusunoki will voice Jess.

The plot of the upcoming anime revolves otaku, who wakes up in the body of a pig after he gets unconscious while eating raw pig liver. The pig then later comes across Jess, an innocent girl who can read the minds of others and she accepts the pig. Though she doesn’t get bored due to the pig’s thoughts and never plans to eat him. But when Jess faces a terrible incident, will the Pig be able to save her with his wisdom, smell, and presence of mind?
