1. IIT, IIM alumnus
Ashneer has completed his education from not just one but India’s two leading institutions. He holds a degree in B.Tech Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi & MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad.
2. Scholarship by French Embassy
Grover was selected among the six bright students from IIT Delhi for an exchange program. He studied at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, France. Ashneer also received a scholarship of €6000 from the French Embassy.
3. Vice President at Kotak Mahindra Bank
After completing his MBA in 2006, Ashneer was appointed as Vice President at Kotak Mahindra Bank. He later joined American Express & then moved to Grofers (now Blinkit). In 2018, Grover started his fintech firm, BharatPe.
4. Didn’t know about Shark Tank
Speaking on a talk show hosted by Raj Shamani, Ashneer said that he wasn’t aware of Shark Tank. When asked about why he joined the show? Ashnee said “I had a very good conversation with the show runner, Bimal and there was this mutual sense of comfort… I also wanted to know who the other judges were because it was critical for me to sit with the right set of people.”

Ashneer Grover is reportedly the highest-paid judge on Shark Tank India. He charges a fee of Rs 10 lakh per episode.
