The makers of the upcoming anime The Vexations of a Shut-In Princess have released a new trailer, key visual along with additional cast and staff details. The promotional video comes ahead of the show’s release date. It is going to premiere on the 7^th of October. The anime has unveiled some incredible insights from the story.

The Vexations of a Shut-In Princess is a Japanese novel series written by Kotei Kobayashi. SB Creative publishes it on the 11^th of January 2020 and has 11 volumes so far. The novel series was further renewed for a manga version, which was published by Square Enix. It was serialised in their Weekly Big Gangan magazine on the 25^th of December, 2021, having released two volumes so far.

The anime adaption for the story was announced during the “GA Fes 2023” live stream event on the 5^th of January, 2023. Tatsuma Minamikawa will be directing the series at Project No. 9 Studious. Keiichiro Ochi is handling the series composition, while Tomoyuki Shitaya is doing the character design. Go Shiina is assigned to the music composition.

The opening song for the series “Red Liberation” will be performed by fripside while the ending song “Nemurenai” will be performed by Tomori Kusunoki. The additional cast members include Amamiya Sora as Millicent Blueknight, Saku Mizuno as Tio Flat and Reina Ueda as Merca Tiano.

Yen Press has licensed the light novel series and manga in the English language. It publishes it for the international audience and describes the plot of the series as follows-

Terakomari Gandesblood is the daughter of the prestigious Gandesblood family in the Mulnite Imperial.
She has been living as a shut-in for three years since she suffered from a lack of skills of handling magic, incapability of physical exercise and not being able to get taller. She can’t even drink blood even though she is a vampire.
But her loving father found a crazy job for her. She was appointed as a new commander of the Mulnite Imperial Army’s 7th Unit of ruffians and criminals. The name of the title is “Shichiguten”!
It is the only job for a strong candidate and has to start a war against other countries every 3 months and beat them. It is a very demanding job, and her army members are all former criminals, and they are so ready to rebel against her.
She definitely wanted to refuse this offer but there is no chance she can say no since it was appointed by the emperor himself.
