Tesla’s humanoid robot to be operational by September: Elon Musk
Tesla had earlier introduced Optimus, during Tesla’s inaugural Artificial Intelligence (AI) Day which is a human-sized robot.
On Friday, June 3, Tesla Inc’s chief executive officer (CEO) Elon Musk announced that his company’s first humanity robot will be operational by September of this year.
Tesla had earlier introduced Optimus, during Tesla’s inaugural Artificial Intelligence (AI) Day which is a human-sized robot. Elon Musk has envisioned that one day Tesla bot will have, “the potential to be more significant than the vehicle business over time.”
Musk has also informed that he has postponed Tesla’s AI Day to September of this year so that he can introduce Optimus.

As per the presentation provided by the company during AI Day 2021, Optimus is likely to be around 173 centimetres in height and will weigh around 57 kilograms.
