Meta, the global social media company is rolling out several features for its platforms in order to enhance it and retain more customers. The tech giant announced an upgraded version of the end-2-end encryption (E2EE) service on Tuesday.
Timothy Buck, the product manager at Messenger stated that, users will soon experience an advanced expansion of E2EE testing. The company aims to provide E2EE as a default setting in Messenger by the end of this year. This will surely increase the privacy and security constraints of the respective chats within the platform.
End-to-end encryption was initially introduced in Meta-owned WhatsApp and has increased the level of communication security among users. The respective system adds an extra layer of protection to your chats and ensures that the chats will remain private. They cannot be accessed by unauthorized sources and are safeguarded by the platform.

Buck also mentioned that they are learning about effective communication in the E2EE system from WhatsApp’s tech team. This shows the vital significance of the service and how it will make communication more efficient and accessible.
