The official announcement of the highly cherished manga Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! getting an anime adaption was revealed during the Jump Festa ’23 in 2022. Since then, fans have been waiting for more details regarding the anime that would ease up their curiosity. Recently, the makers released the first promotional video on the official website and finally break the silence after a long pause waiting a year.

The television anime adaption’s website also dropped a new key visual featuring the main cast- Minami Fuyuki, Rena Natsukawa, and Sayuri Akino. The poster showed the lead characters walking on snow. The trailer also unveiled the release window for the anime but the actual premiere date of the show is yet to be known along with the distribution information.

Based on a rom-com theme, the fan-favorite manga is written by Kai Ikada. It was serialized in Shonen Jump+ on the 4th of September 2019 and has 11 volumes so far. Silver Link Studious and Blade Studios will be animating the anime. The script work is done by Mirai Minato, who is also one of the head directors along with Misuzu Hoshino.

Originally, the series was scheduled to premiere in 2023. But it seems like the fans have to wait a little longer to witness the upcoming light-hearted watch, which is as per the trailer slated to release in January 2024, in Japan.

The story of the anime follows a teenage boy Tsubasa, who has recently moved to Japan, the northern area circulating Hokkaido, which is very cold. At a usual instance, he comes across a girl at the bus stop standing bare-legged despite the freezing cold which thereafter amazes him.
