ED summons Congress leader Sonia Gandhi & MP Rahul Gandhi

On Wednesday, June 1, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned Congress party interim president Sonia Gandhi and MP, Rahul Gandhi, over the National Herald case as reported by ANI.
The notice has been issued regarding the National Herald money laundering case. The case was closed by the investigation agency in 2015. As per Congress leader Abhishekh Manu Singhvi ED has asked Sonia and Rahul Gandhi to appear on June 8.
Congress has blamed the ruling party BJP for misusing the powers of ED. “Started the National Herald newspaper in 1942, at that time the British tried to suppress it, today Modi govt is also doing the same & ED is being used for this. ED has given notice to our president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi,” said Congress leader Randeep Surjewala.
