On Wednesday, Twitter was unavailable to thousands of users, according to the outage monitoring website Downdetector.com. Users on desktop computers and mobile devices encountered pop-up messages and were unable to access the site or control notifications.
As of 7:40 p.m. ET, over 10,000 users in the US had trouble accessing the social media platform. Some users claimed they were automatically logged out, while others alleged that their Twitter notifications were broken.
