INS Arihant completes the Indian armed forces’ nuclear triad and gives India a second strike capability.

The nuclear-powered submarine is the lead ship of the Arihant Class of nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines and is set to be accompanied by its sister ships, INS Arighat, INS Aridhaman (S4) and S4*.
