Reliance Industries entered the FMCG space earlier this week with its home-grown soft drink brand Campa which it acquired from the Delhi-based Pure Drinks Group. The newly appointed director of Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL) is Isha Ambani. FMCG consumer goods are products that sell quickly at relatively low costs and are also called consumer packaged goods. The current FMCG is estimated to be over USD 100 billion and is largely dominated by big firms such as HUL, Reckitt P&G etc. They are products which are highly in-demand, sold quickly and affordable. The deal was worth about Rs 22 Crores worth and Reliance Retail Ventures would introduce it to the general trade and local markets around Diwali, said sources close to the Development. The retail arm of the Reliance Group, Reliance Retail Ventures has introduced three variants including the classic cola flavour, orange and lemon at its selected stores.
