PM Modi urges citizens to take precautions as COVID-19 cases appear to be on the rise once more

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the nation in the 96th and this year’s last edition of his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday urged Indians to exercise caution and advised everyone to wear masks and regularly wash their hands as more cases of Covid were being reported in many other countries.

He was speaking at the final 2022 Mann Ki Baat. This 96th episode of Mann Ki Baat, a monthly radio programme hosted by the Prime Minister, was broadcast.

The Prime Minister was previously informed that there has been a steady decrease in cases in India, with the average daily cases falling to 153 and the weekly positivity rate falling to 0.14 percent in the week ending December 22, 2022. However, according to the PMO, 5.9 lakh cases on average per day have been reported globally over the past six weeks.
