PM Modi inaugurates AIIMS Bilaspur

AIIMS Bilaspur is a modern hospital with 750 beds, including 64 ICU beds, 18 speciality and 17 super-speciality departments, and 18 modular operating rooms, with a construction budget of more than Rs 1,470 crore.

During his visit to Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated AIIMS, Bilaspur. During his visit, he will also take part in the well-known Kullu Dussehra festivities.

BJP president JP Nadda, Union Minister Anurag Thakur, and Chief Minister Jairam Thakur attended the inaugural ceremony as well.

According to a statement from the government, PM Modi is travelling to Himachal Pradesh to address a public gathering and lay the foundation for development projects worth more than Rs 3,650 crore and officially open them.

From October 5 to 11, Kullu will host the International Kullu Dussehra Festival at Dhalpur Ground. The gathering of devotees for more than 300 deities from the valley makes the celebration special. The prime minister will take part in the festivities for the first time.

The prime minister will also lay the cornerstone for other construction projects, including a 31-km-long, over Rs 1,690 crore project to widen NH-105 from Pinjore to Nalagarh to four lanes.

Additionally, Modi will lay the cornerstone for the approximately Rs 350 crore Medical Device Park in Nalagarh.
