As AVP – marketing and PR, Jasleen Kaur has joined Reliance Brands Ltd (RBL), the brand licencing division of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL). She formerly served as the Indian subcontinent’s head of marketing for Benetton. Kaur said about her move to RBL, “Couldn’t have asked for a better role to take forward my learning curve!”

For the purpose of selling the brand in India, Reliance Brands Limited declared in May of this year that it has signed a “long-term franchise deal” with Italian luxury brand Tod’s S.p.A. A strategic alliance with Pret A Manger, a well-known multinational chain of restaurants serving fresh cuisine and organic coffee, was recently revealed. With the aid of this long-term master franchise relationship, RBL stated it would spread the food chain throughout India, beginning in the biggest cities and transportation hubs.

Pret A Manger, which translates to “ready to eat” in French, debuted in London in 1986. It was a store with the goal of producing freshly created, handcrafted food every day. After more than 35 years, the company now has 550 stores throughout nine markets, including the UK, the US, Europe, and Asia.
