Coal-laden goods train derails near Gaya in Bihar- several trains services diverted

According to East Central Railway, there were no casualties in the event that happened at Gurpa station.

East Central Railway said in a bulletin on Twitter- “On 26.10.2022, 53 wagons of a coal-laden goods train derailed at Gurpa station between Koderma and Manpur railway section of Dhanbad division at 06.24 am today, resulting in disruption of rail traffic on Up and Down lines. There have been no casualties in the incident,”

It also stated that an accident relief vehicle and squad of police have departed towards the scene from Barwadih, Gaya, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Gomo, and Dhanbad.

Due to the interruption, some trains were partially terminated while others were redirected to a different route.

In a separate update, East Central Railway noted that partial terminations had been made to the 13305 Dhanbad-Dehri On Sone Intercity Express, 13553 Asansol-Varanasi Express, 13546 Gaya-Asansol Express, and 13545 Asansol-Gaya Express, all of which were leaving from Dhanbad.

Railway has also issued helpline numbers for the convenience of passengers in view of the derailment of goods train at Gurpa under Dhanbad division.
