Ukraine’s counter-attacks led to the recapture of Izyum and Kupiansk which were vital to Russian supply lines for the war on the northeastern theatre which is around the city of Kharkiv.
Russia stated that it was regrouping in response to the recent developments. The military’s allegations were challenging to independently verify throughout the battle.
The Kharkiv region’s electric power and water supplies have reportedly been restored to about 80% of their previous levels following Sunday’s Russian assaults on power plants and other infrastructure that caused the loss of energy in numerous areas across Ukraine, according to Kyiv officials.
“You are heroes!!!, wrote Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov early in the morning on Telegram, highlighting the cheerful mood in the nation that has endured more than 6 months of the war.
“Thanks to everyone who did everything possible on this most difficult night for Kharkiv to normalize the life of the city as soon as possible.” The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that its troops had retaken more than 20 settlements within the past days.
The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky also jumped to take part in the celebration of the recent success. He said, “Do you still think you can intimidate, break us and force us to make concessions? Did you really not understand anything? Don’t understand who we are? What do we stand for? What we are talking about,”
“Read my lips,” he continued. “Cold, hunger, darkness and thirst for us are not as scary and deadly as your friendship and brotherhood.’
He added: “We will be with gas, lights, water and food and WITHOUT you!”
