Tata Projects bags contract for construction of Noida International Airport

The Noida International airport is expected to be functional by 2024.

On Friday, June 3, Tata’s constriction arm, Tata Projects bagged the contract for the construction of Noida International Airport at Jewar in Uttar Pradesh.

Tata Projects will undertake the task of construction of the terminal, runway, airside infrastructure, roads, utilities, landside facilities and other ancillary buildings at the airport. The Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) is responsible for developing the Noida International Airpot. The airport is expected to be functional by 2024.

The YIAPL is a subsidiary of the Swiss developer Zurich Airport International AG. The swiss developer won the contract for developing Noida airport in 2019. “YIAPL has selected Tata Projects Ltd to undertake the Engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of Noida International Airport. The company has been selected from three shortlisted teams with demonstrated experience in the design, procurement, and construction of large infrastructure projects,” the airport developer said in a statement.
