Sudarshan Pattnaik, one of the most eminent sand artist hailing from Odisha designed an magnificent sand sculpture of Lord Ganesha comprising off 3,425 ladoos and some flowers. He regularly makes brilliant sand arts to celebrate various occasions and uploads them on his social media handle. Ganesh Chaturthi is mostly associated with the state of Maharashtra but is celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm. Ladoos and Modaks holds special ritualistic and symbolic significance in this festival with various rituals and practices attached to it. This grand sculpture was made on the beach of Odisha’s Puri and was 6 feet high. In 2014, Sudarshan Pattnaik was honoured with the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian award for his exemplary work.
