Battlegrounds Mobile India, popularly known as BGMI among fans, is now available for download on Google Play Store for Android phones. However, the user might not find the app directly on the Play Store, but if you visit the official website of BGMI, and click on Play button, you will be directed to download page, from where you can download the game for free. Currently, the game is not available on Apple App Store. for iOS.
Although, the game is available for download, the users might not be able to play the game due to some server related malware. These problems are likely to be fixed soon.
BGMI’s return to Google Play India comes days after its developer thanked the Indian government for lifting its ban. BGMI was removed from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, last year, citing security reasons. BGMI’s previous iteration, PUBG Mobile remains banned in India for similar reasons and its link to China. The availability of the game in India was also opposed by some lawmakers due to its negative impact on children.

It has been reported that the ban lifted on a few conditions listed by the government. It includes time limit to be set to deescalate addiction. It is also required to tweak its UI to be appropriate for its Indian audience.
