The epicentre of the earthquake was at Dailekh (Nepal), 90 km southeast of Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand.

After the earthquakes were felt in the nation’s capital, several users turned to social networking sites.
According to a representative of the Delhi disaster management authority, the emergency operation centre has not yet received any calls informing it of any earthquake-related damages.
Within the past 24 hours, Nepal has experienced a second earthquake.
Late Tuesday night, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the area had undergone at least two earthquakes, with magnitudes of 4.9 and 3.5.
