The sources have revealed that the talks between Tesla and Jio are still are preliminary stage and any development would be possible, only if the former company firms up its plan of setting up a manufacturing plant in India.
As per reports by Financial Express, a query had been sent to Jio regarding the same but no response was received. However, an executive of Jio, on condition of anonymity said that 5G is about enterprises connectivity and the company is reaching out to firms in the manufacturing, automobiles, healthcare, and other industries with possible use cases. They are also offering to build and manage their networks.
