3) Before arriving at Gandhinagar Capital station, the train will stop at Surat, Vadodara, and Ahmedabad. It has 16 carriages and can accommodate 1,128 passengers.
4) According to an official, the recently launched Vande Bharat Express train would provide passengers with a travelling experience similar to that of an aircraft and cutting-edge, state-of-the-art safety features including Kavach technology, an indigenously designed Train Collision Avoidance System.
5) All classes of the train include reclining seats, with Executive Coaches having the additional benefit of 180-degree rotating seats.
6) According to an official quoted by the news agency ANI, Divyang-friendly restrooms and seat handles with seat numbers in Braille letters have also been installed.
7) Rearview cameras and platform side cameras located outside the coach are further cutting-edge safety measures.
8) The train also brags that its sophisticated regenerative braking system helps it save roughly 30% of electricity. Loco pilots and train guards can readily communicate with passengers and one another in any emergency.
9) Other features for safer and more pleasurable driving include on-demand content with Wi-Fi, a three-hour battery backup, and GPS systems.
10) This is the third Vande Bharat train in the country, the other two being run between New Delhi – Varanasi and New Delhi – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra.
PM Modi in an address in Ahmedabad said, “Vande Bharat makes 100 times less noise inside the train, as compared to an aeroplane. People who are used to travelling on flights will prefer the Vande Bharat train once they get to experience it.”
