Napoleon trailer featuring Joaquin Phoenix and Vanessa Kirby released- Watch

Joaquin Phoenix will be collaborating with his ex-director Ridley Scott yet again after the massive hit of Gladiator. The upcoming historical drama depicting the life of Napoleon Bonaparte, the French commander, and his relationship with Empress Josephine will also be showcased.

The official trailer was released on the 10^th of July which featured Joaquin Phoenix as Napoleon and Vanessa Kirby as Josephine. The trailer was launched by Sony Pictures and Apple TV+ on YouTube. The trailer begins in France in 1793, as Napoleon is entrusted with power and crowned as the commander of the country.

The story follows his ruling over the kingdom, his relationship with Josephine, about they met, and their deteriorating situations. As Napoleon gains more power with time, he turns into a dictator, and how his life changes completely. There’s a dialogue by actor Joaquin in the trailer which goes “I am destined for greatness. But those in power will only see me as a sword.”

Since the release of the trailer, it has already made headlines and fans are gushing with excitement at the first look of the film. The audience also flooded the comment sections with applause, while one wrote, “This looks insanely incredible! I can’t wait!” while another said, “I’ve been thirsting for the movie without even knowing it. I wish for more massive-scale historical epics.”
