Jio Bharat’s new plan starts at Rs 123 with unlimited voice calls and internet data

Reliance Jio announced its new plan on Monday along with introducing the Jio Bharat device, which is an internet-packed phone priced at Rs 999. This device can be used by all sections of society to enjoy the benefits of digital technology in all parts of the nation. The phone costs at a budget level for even the masses from weaker sections financially.
Along with the device, two Jio Bharat plans are also introduced. One is for Rs 123 while the other is for Rs 1,234. The former’s validity is for 14 days while the latter is an annual package.
Jio Bharat plan aims to provide unlimited data and voice calls features for a period of 14 days and a total of 14 GB internet pack as compared to the other networks that provide Rs 179 pack with 2 GB data. While the annual plan for Rs 1,234 will offer 0.5 GB data per day and 128 GB on a yearly basis along with unlimited calling. According to the company, this offer provides 7 times more data than other networks and also is effective as it saves 25% on a daily basis.

At the launch event, Akash Ambani the chairman of Reliance Jio stated that there are 250 million cell phone users that are still stuck on the 2G era and are unable to reap the basic digital offers of the time, while the world has speedingly moved to 5G. 6 years ago when Jio was launched the company has made it clear that the common digital features will also be enjoyed by all sections of the country. Therefore, technology will no longer be a facility for only a few chunks of people.
He added further, that Jio Bharat is the next step in that direction, to ensure that digital technology is being facilitated to everyone and no one shall be left behind. Their motto is to eradicate the DIGITAL DIVIDE and enable every citizen to join this movement. They care for the citizens and would want the masses to enjoy the benefits of the digital hub that the country is turning into.
