Harley-Davidson unveils its X440 Roadster in collaboration with Hero; Launch on June 4

Harley-Davidson, in partnership with Hero MotoCorp, has officially unveiled the X440 Roadster, their first motorcycle together. The bike has been manufactured in India and is set to launch on July 4, 2023.

At the heart of the X440 is an oil-cooled single-cylinder 440cc engine. It is expected that the newly launched bike will surpass the likes of Royal Enfield Classic 350, however, the official details such as power and torque is yet to be disclosed. The upcoming Harley’s Roadster will compete against motorcycles such as Royal Enfield 350s, Hondo sundry 300-400 cc and CB 350 H’ness and obviously KTM 390 Duke and Apache RR 310.

It must be noted that the upcoming Roadster is nothing like Harley’s traditional cruiser styled bike, instead it has taken its inspiration from the company’s old XR roadster. The bike sports neutral ergonomics, a flat handlebar, and a robust design, which is quite appealing to the younger crowd craving Harley Davidson at affordable price. The overall look of the bike is not we Indians are used to identify it visually.

The x440 Roadster is expected to be priced between Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it one of the most affordable Harleys till date.
