Google CEO Sundar Pichai’s father breaks down as his Chennai ancestral home goes up for sale

Tamil cinema actor and producer C Manikandan has purchased the ancestral home of Google CEO Sundar Pichai, according to a report by The Hindu Business Line.

The house is located in Ashok Nagar, a residential area of Chennai, and it will be Manikandan’s first property.

The news outlet shared that the actor was looking for a property to buy and the moment he learned that there was a house up for sale, where Sundar was born and raised, he immediately went for it.

“Sundar Pichai has made our country proud, and buying the house where he lived will be a proud achievement of my life,” said Manikandan. The actor himself is also a real estate developer. He said that he has built and delivered over 300 houses.

He added that the humility of Pichai’s family has amazed me. Manikandan revealed that the CEO’s mother made filter coffee for him and his father offered him the documents right at the first meeting.

He shared that “Sundar’s father broke down for a few minutes while handing over the documents since this was his first property.” During the registration also, his father waited and paid all the necessary documents before handing over the documents to the actor.
