Blaise Matuidi, who has been without a team since the end of the MLS season, has announced the end of his 17-year professional football career. In 2018, he won the world championship while representing France.
Blaise Matuidi announced his retirement from football on Twitter at the age of 35. The midfielder, who debuted for Saint-Etienne in 2004, has also played for Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus Turin, and Inter Miami. Matuidi, regarded as one of the best in his position by some, is wrapping up his career as a top athlete.
“Football, I loved you so much. Football, you gave me so much, but the time has come to say stop. I accomplished my dreams as a child, my dreams as a man. It is with a tight throat but with pride that I turn this page today,” Blaise tweeted.

MERCI ❤️
