On Tuesday, 72 Hoorain’s co-producer stated that the Censor Board has denied certification to the trailer of the movie, which is set to release on the 7th of July. However, today the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has objected to the reports and said that they haven’t declined the certification and the case is under due process.

The Censor body also stated that rumors have been spreading over the internet regarding the movie Bahattar Hoorain and how its trailer has been refrained from attaining certification by them. Although, the CBFC permitted ‘A’ certification for the movie on the 4th of October 2019.

The makers of the film had applied for the certification of the trailer on the 19th of June and the Censor body examined it pertaining to the guidelines stated under Section 5B(2) of the Cinematographer Act, 1952.

72 Hoorain’s makers were also asked to submit the required documents asking for information and receipt for the same. In a press note issued by the board, it said, “A show cause notice communicating the modifications was issued to the applicant/filmmaker on 27-6-2023 and the same is pending for the applicant’s response/compliance. Thus, any misleading reports may not be entertained or circulated hereinafter when the matter is under due process.”

The film stars Pavan Malhotra and Aamir Bashir in key roles. The film is directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, who was also been granted the National Filmmaker Award in 2021 for the movie. The story focuses on terrorist organizations that manipulate young teenagers into going on a suicidal mission and how after the victory they will be upraised in heaven.
