Amber Heard reacts to allegations that she would be replaced in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

Amber Heard has reacted to news that she would be replaced in the forthcoming DC movie Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom by another actor.

Amber Heard has replied to a recent story claiming that she is being dismissed from DC’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and replaced by another actress. According to the source, Warner Bros. chose to replace Amber after screening the picture with a small group of people. Amber’s spokesperson, on the other hand, called the report “inaccurate.”

The news came only days after Amber lost a defamation trial against her ex-husband in a Virginia court. The court ruled that Amber had defamed Johnny when she claimed he mistreated her during their marriage and ordered her to pay him $10.35 million in damages. Throughout the trial, an internet campaign to remove Amber from Aquaman amassed over 4 million signatures by June.

According to Just Jared, Warner Bros., the studio behind Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, was attempting to remove Amber from the movie. “Warner Bros. decided to recast Amber Heard’s role after screen testing the movie. They are going to be doing reshoots with Jason Momoa and Nicole Kidman,” the source said.

There was a lot of internet conversation with Johnny Depp supporters wanting Warner Bros. to dismiss Amber from Aquaman 2, much as Johnny was fired from the Fantastic Beasts franchise when Amber made similar charges against him. Many thought after the story that Warner Bros. had finally caved into the pressure. Amber’s representative responded to a request for comment from The Blast, saying, “The rumor mill continues as it has from day one — inaccurate, insensitive, and slightly insane.”
