Adipurush movie has been highly criticized from the day of its big screen opening and people are accusing it of the choice of dialogue and scenes that seem completely irrelevant to the film. On the 20th of June, the All Indian Cine Workers Association has written to PM Modi for banning the movie all across the nation. The subject line for the letter was being framed as, “Request to immediately Ban on Adipurush Movie- THIS IS NOT OUR RAMAYAN.”

The letter addressed that Adipurush’s screening should be stopped and an order must be issued to ban it as the movie’s dialogues, screenplay, and scenes have defamed lord Ram and lord Hanuman. Also, it has hurt the religious sentiments of the masses not only residing in India but throughout the world and disgraced the Sanatan Dharma.

It was also stated that everyone is a devotee of lord Ram, no matter from which caste the person belongs to. The movie portrays lord Ram and Ravana as characters in the video game and it was being asked to file FIR against the director of the film Om Raut and Manoj Muntashir Shukla (writer) and the producer for hurting the people’s notions towards their gods and also depicting them in a wrong light with vague dialogues.

Further, the letter also remarks that actors like Kriti Sanon and Prabhas shouldn’t have been part of the film, which is considered to be the worst film made in the history of Indian cinema. The letter was drafted by Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, president and founder of AICWA. A copy of the same was sent to Union Minister Anurag Thakur and Prasoon Joshi, chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification.
