The statistics updated at 8 am showed that the number of active cases fell even lower, to 7,918 exactly, while the death toll increased to 5, 30,533, with 1 death recorded from Gujarat.

The percentage of infections with active cases is 0.02 percent, and the recovery rate for Covid-19 across the country is now 98.79 percent.
