Two days ago, Bengaluru-based label MRT Music (the plaintiff) filed a lawsuit for copyright infringement, claiming that the handles had improperly exploited the sound recordings from the popular multilingual movie KGF-Chapter 2.
The Congress leader Jairam Ramesh was accused of using popular songs from the movie without authorization in two videos of the Yatra that he shared on his official Twitter account, according to the complaint.

The plaintiff who is in the business of purchasing cinematography films, songs, music albums, etc., will be put to irreparable injury and further same contributes to encouraging the piracy at large, according to a Bar and Bench report. On September 7, the Bharat Jodo Yatra began in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. Before approaching Telangana, Congressman Rahul Gandhi finished the marathon walk in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
According to a first information report, or FIR, submitted to the police in Bengaluru’s Yashwanthpur, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh copied popular songs from KGF-2 in two yatra videos he shared on Twitter without authorization. Six states have been visited by the Bharat Jodo Yatra thus far: Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra.
